This is a fixed-position mount, so it does not extend outward from the wall. When installed, the TV sits about 1.96 inches from the wall.
It does include quick-release straps, which allow you to temporarily pull the TV away from the wall to help access cables behind it, but it is not designed to extend or lock out at a greater distance.

A:AnswerThis is a low-profile fixed mount. With my 75-inch TV, it sits about 1.5 to 2 inches from the wall, depending on the TV's back design and cable connections. It gives a very clean, close-to-the-wall look.
A:AnswerYes, it can be used above a fireplace as long as the wall has proper studs and the heat from the fireplace does not exceed the TV manufacture's recommended limits. make sure the fireplace is well insulated and the mounting height is appropriate.
A:AnswerMetal frame is expandable and allows for you to anchor into studs spaced > 24”. And will accommodate those in between 12-16”. It allows for you to use studs to anchor into rather than compromising and doing “drywall screws.”
