A:AnswerYou can use it with the Windows 10/11 File History backup feature to automatically backup files/folders. The feature works with any attached storage, the drive would just need to be connected to your system for it to automated backups to run. Just look under Settings > Update & Security > Backup.
A:AnswerI know the answer to this because I promised the Seagate guy I'd get it for my next drive after they recovered my data for free.. It's a service they provide [and charge for] should something happen to the drive, to recover what ever data they can from it [still.. back up your back ups.. mine crashed inbetween backups and it failed because it got dropped onto a hard surface WHILE it was spinning...]
