sounds like the drive might be generating some sort of interference...? perhaps try with another controller, or plug it in to see if it still happening while plugged.

If your controller does that even without using your drive then it's probably just your controller (good to have a backup controller not only for friends but things like this). I would recommend calling the appropriate support line if you're sure it's the drive and not your controller. Maybe you could return your drive and swap it out for another one? Good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've noticed that smaller (250GB) WD MyPassport drives will work on an unpowered USB hub, but larger ones (500GB+) need more power and must be plugged directly into my PC. Perhaps there is a power issue with your setup?
