QuestionDoes the HD shut down when you turn off the console? I currently have a WD Black 8TB drive but I have to unplug it because the drive spins up, starts reading then spins down constantly when the console is off no matter what power setting I have it in.

- Answer Not by default. You would have to reformat it to the proper type in Windows Disc Management. Additionally, you could remove the entire casing and plug it up to your PC via SATA for faster speeds than USB 3.2. Do all this at your own risk, however.
