It's not noise cancelling but if you get the right sized "ear bud", you can pretty much cancel a lot of the noise out. They go pretty deep in the ear so it will muffle a lot of ambient noise. It'll feel kind of like putting in earplugs.

When you download the associated App to your phone, you can choose to turn on 'Transparent Hearing', if that's what you were asking. I don't believe that there is a 'noise cancelling' feature when it comes to phone calls and I've noticed that some of my callers complain about the call quality during phone calls even they they sound perfectly clear on my end.
