“I bought the Shark Navigator. I love it but my question is: Do I have to hold the canister when I want to do my drapes and lamp shades, or can I just let it set on the floor? It is quite heavy and awkward with only 2 hands to work with.”

I just leave the canister on the base and remove the extension wand only. The hose and wand have enough length to reach the ceiling. But when I do remove the canister it seems very light and has a convenient handle. (The Rotater is lighter than the Navigator.)
