A:AnswerYes this is possible with your model microwave. This option is called Multi-Stage Cooking and the instructions on how to use this feature can be found on page 14 of the User Manual. If you have any other questions regarding your microwave, please email us at [email protected]. Thank you.
A:AnswerHello, I am very sorry there are no maximum dimensions listed for plate size on the SMC1655BS. Based on the interior dimensions of 15.5” x 10.2” x 17.1”, a round plate that is 15.4" across is as big as you could go and still have it spin.
A:AnswerHello, we would be happy to assist with your query. The wattage of the unit is 1100 watts. If you have any further questions please email us at [email protected].
A:AnswerHello Chels, thank you for reaching out to us. For proper ventilation, allow 4 inches of space between oven top, sides, rear and adjacent surfaces. Do not block air vents. If they are blocked during operation, the oven may overheat and eventually cause a failure. If you require additional assistance please email us at [email protected].
A:AnswerThe microwave outside dimensions (W x D x H) are 21.8 x 19.3 x 12.8 inches. The handle and push button are about 1.5 inches of that 19.3 inches.
A:AnswerOutside dimensions (W X D X H) **including handle** are 21.8 x 19.3 x 12.8 inches. The handle (and control button) are about 1.5 inches. So the depth without the handle and push button is about 19.3 - 1.5 = 17.8 inches.
A:AnswerYou could build a "trim kit" out of wood in front of the microwave as long as you allowed for the size of the door to open. Be careful with ventilation with any microwave in a closed space because of the exhaust especially the moisture that comes out of any microwave.
A:AnswerThat's going to be tight. If I measure from the back of the microwave (it's not flat) to the foot it's around 14.5". You might find that the shelf is too short / not deep enough to sit the microwave on. Plus it has a pull handle (which I LOVE compared to a push button) so you might find you are pulling the microwave OFF the shelf. Try cutting a piece of poster board to the size of the shelf and take that into Best Buy and do a good look at the microwave display before you buy one.
A:AnswerHello, thank you for reaching out to us. We would love to assist you further with your microwave. Please email us at [email protected] for additional support.
A:AnswerHi, as long as the plate does not exceed the size of the interior and get jammed / caught up you could use a square plate. The turn table is round so if the square plate was smaller than the diameter of the glass turn table then it would fit inside the turn table. If it was larger than the diameter it would sit on top of the glass turn table's edges.
