“Can you project your screen from your windows 8.1 laptop (mirror) Miracast is installed in windows 8.1 and I'm wondering if you need additional hardware to project the screen as this TV says it is miracast compatible. Any thoughts?”

All you have to do is go to the input and find mirror on the tv and then enter the pin it gives you into the device and you can mirror the device on the tv. I did it with yutube from a samsung tablet.
