A:AnswerThis keypad is used to set the alarm on and off. It does not open a garage door. Since SimpliSafe doesn’t offer any devices for the garage we added a sensor so we’re notified when the garage is opened or shut.
A:AnswerI’ve had this system over a year and never had to change the keypad. If you are referring to the key fob I hardly use it but never had to replace that either
A:AnswerAll of your components connect to the Base Station, not the Keypads. So you can have as many Keypads and Key Fobs as you like (up to the 100 component limit), and they will all work for the whole system.
A:AnswerI have 3 with my system and works just fine. You can have up to 99 devices. This includes sensors, keypads, keyfobs, detectors, Smart Locks (each smart lock takes up two component slots, one for the pin pad and one for the lock)
A:AnswerYep, instructions should have been sent to your email as part of your invoice. You just want to add it to your system through your existing Keypad's Menu.
