A:AnswerThe elbow piece is extremely rigid so I don't think it could be manipulated to be oval, but I think you could attach just the venting to an oval using the clamps and then finalize the install with wrapping with the metal tape that comes with it. There are instructions with the vent kit, so maybe you can look at those on line first before purchasing.
A:AnswerThis kit had everything I needed for my gas dryer. Included vent, tape, elbow, clamps and screws. All items were brand new. Kit did not include any attachments for outside of your house/apartment.
A:AnswerWith a new washer it's usually recommended you get new hook-up hoses. If you look at the Bosch washer description on the website, it should say whether or not it comes with hook-up hoses or whatever else you need for the washer. For a dryer you will need to get the exhaust venting tube - don't re-use the old one since there's probably lots of lint in it anyway, and better to start with a new, clean one.
If the installation kit says it's for washer AND dryer 1 should be enough. Just read the description of what's in the box. I recently bought a new washer and dryer and the site recommended the additional items needed for hooking them up - new hoses for the washer and the hook-up kit for the dryer which was the exhaust hose and misc hardware needed to attach it.
A:AnswerAlways worth getting a new vent. Most vents collect debris, and if there is a build up of heavy lint, fire can become an issue. Smart to start with a new vent whenever you get a new dryer. Well worth the cost. We had ours professionally installed too. Also worth the price for us as our spacecwas tight behind our dryer.
