Thank you for your question. As a standalone system, this package will not work with the Sonos app. These speakers require an A/V receiver to power them. To control these speakers with the Sonos app, you will need a receiver that features the "Works with Sonos" feature built-in, and may require the addition of a Sonos Port.

A:AnswerRecommended in a good size wall and placed in ceiling due to thickness is speaker. 3 in front of room and then 2 in the back with sub in either front or back. Highly recommend this setup sounds great and looks amazing

Thank you for your question. From what I read on Bose.com, the Bose music amplifier is a 2/4-channel amplifier, not a 5.1-channel AVR. You will need a 5.1 audio/video receiver to power this system if you want a surround sound experience. I hope you found this information helpful. Thank you for your question. I looked at the specs for each unit and I would reccomend using the Sony based on the power output.
