- Answer Hi, Thank you for your question! While an impedance-matching volume control could technically be used with the Sonance MAG 6.1 Outdoor Speaker System, we do not recommend it. The Sonos Amp delivers 125 watts per channel, which exceeds the typical 60-watt rating of most volume controls, leading to potential overheating, distortion, or damage. Even with impedance matching, manual controls can interfere with system performance. Questionhow long is the wire that gets hooked up to the amp?

- Answer Hi, Thank you for your question. The speaker wire is sold separately. We recommend choosing wire size based on the distance between the amp to the furthest speaker. Here are our recommendations: 18 gauge - For distances up to 100 feet 16 gauge - For distances up to 150 feet 14 gauge - For distances up to 250 feet As a best practice, we recommend 14/4 direct-burial speaker wire be used when installing the system. The included (6) satellite speakers and (1) subwoofer is the maximum number of speakers you should connect to the Sonos amp.
