A:AnswerHi Mike. These speakers are not a Sonos product however; they will work great with Sonos products like the Sonos Amp. If you have additional questions please give us a call at 949-492-7777 and ask for Tech support. We will be happy to help you out.

A:AnswerIt depends on your receiver. With vaulted ceilings the distance from the speaker to your ear will affect the timing of the sound reaching your ear. The sound needs to reach your ear at an appropriate timing to match what's on the tv. Most recovers have the ability to adjust the distance of the speaker to compensate for timing. The nice thing about these speakers is that you point the woofers and the tweeters at your ear to make up for the ceiling angle.
A:AnswerHi,
Thank you for your question. For the Sonance MAG6R in-ceiling speakers, we recommend using 2-conductor, CL2 or CL3-rated in-wall speaker wire. The ideal wire gauge depends on the length of the speaker run:
• 16 AWG – Runs up to approximately 100 feet
• 14 AWG – Runs from 100–200 feet
• 12 AWG – Runs over 200 feet or for installations where you want to minimize signal loss
Using oxygen-free copper (OFC) speaker wire is also recommended for the best long-term performance and reliability. If these speakers will be installed in an air-handling (plenum) space, be sure to use plenum-rated (CMP) speaker wire if required by your local building code.

A:AnswerHi,
Thank you for your question. Tilting the woofer does not change the overall mounting depth of the MAG6R speaker. The woofer pivots within the speaker assembly, so it will not protrude farther into the ceiling cavity when aimed.
You will still want to follow the published mounting depth requirement for the speaker and make sure there is adequate clearance inside the ceiling cavity before installation.

A:AnswerHi,
Thanks for your question! The Sonance MAG6R requires approximately 4-3/4" of mounting depth. Because of that, it typically will not fit in a standard 2x4 wall without modification.
These speakers are specifically designed for in-ceiling installation, so even aside from depth, they are engineered to perform best when mounted in a ceiling rather than a wall.
For a wall application, we would recommend choosing a dedicated in-wall speaker instead.

A:AnswerHi,
Thank you for your question. Yes, you can connect MAG6R speakers in series as long as your amplifier can handle the increased impedance. For example, two 8-ohm speakers in series create a 16-ohm load, which reduces power output. Just make sure your amp is rated for that load before wiring.

A:AnswerHi,
Thank you for your question. The listed depth of 4.75" refers to the portion of the speaker that sits inside the ceiling (the required mounting depth). The grille and flange sit nearly flush with the ceiling surface and add very little additional depth beyond that measurement.

A:AnswerHi,
Thanks for your question! The Sonance MAG6R speakers are passive speakers, which means they require an external amplifier to work. They can't connect directly to a TV on their own.
Here’s what you’ll need:
• An AV receiver to power the speakers
• Speaker wire to connect the MAG6R speakers to the amplifier
• An audio output connection from your Samsung TV to the amplifier (typically via HDMI ARC, optical, or analog RCA, depending on your equipment)
Once everything is connected, the MAG6R speakers will work with your Samsung TV as part of a home audio system.

A:AnswerHi,
Thank you for your question regarding the Sonance MAG6R 6-1/2" In-Ceiling Speakers. For most residential installations, we recommend using 16-gauge speaker wire. This gauge provides excellent performance for typical wire runs up to approximately 50 feet. If your installation requires longer cable runs, we suggest 14-gauge wire for reduced signal loss.
Additionally, please ensure that the wire used is rated for in-wall or in-ceiling applications.
