  • QuestionI have speaker wiring for six speakers already installed in a high vaulted ceiling. I would like to buy speakers and have them connected to existing surround system and TV. Is ceiling height an issue?

    Asked by USMC6591.

    • Answer It depends on your receiver. With vaulted ceilings the distance from the speaker to your ear will affect the timing of the sound reaching your ear. The sound needs to reach your ear at an appropriate timing to match what's on the tv. Most recovers have the ability to adjust the distance of the speaker to compensate for timing. The nice thing about these speakers is that you point the woofers and the tweeters at your ear to make up for the ceiling angle.

  • QuestionI have another product can this be connected with it in series ?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hi, Thank you for your question. Yes, you can connect MAG6R speakers in series as long as your amplifier can handle the increased impedance. For example, two 8-ohm speakers in series create a 16-ohm load, which reduces power output. Just make sure your amp is rated for that load before wiring. I hope you found this information helpful. • QuestionIs the depth of the speaker measured from the outside of the flange (laying flush on the ceiling) to the deepest part of the speaker, or is the 4.75" the part that is inside the ceiling?

    Asked by ZiptieP.

    • Answer Hi, Thank you for your question. The listed depth of 4.75" refers to the portion of the speaker that sits inside the ceiling (the required mounting depth). The grille and flange sit nearly flush with the ceiling surface and add very little additional depth beyond that measurement. I hope you found this information helpful. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to our California-based support team at 949-492-7777. • QuestionDo I need anything else besides the speakers to connected to the tv? And also are these speakers compatible to Samsung tv?

    Asked by Yami.

    • Answer Hi, Thanks for your question! The Sonance MAG6R speakers are passive speakers, which means they require an external amplifier to work. They can't connect directly to a TV on their own. Here’s what you’ll need: • An AV receiver to power the speakers • Speaker wire to connect the MAG6R speakers to the amplifier • An audio output connection from your Samsung TV to the amplifier (typically via HDMI ARC, optical, or analog RCA, depending on your equipment) Once everything is connected, the MAG6R speakers will work with your Samsung TV as part of a home audio system. I hope you found this information helpful. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to our California-based support team at 949-492-7777. • QuestionWhat gauge wire is recommended for the install

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hi, Thank you for your question regarding the Sonance MAG6R 6-1/2" In-Ceiling Speakers. For most residential installations, we recommend using 16-gauge speaker wire. This gauge provides excellent performance for typical wire runs up to approximately 50 feet. If your installation requires longer cable runs, we suggest 14-gauge wire for reduced signal loss. Additionally, please ensure that the wire used is rated for in-wall or in-ceiling applications. I hope this information is helpful. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact our California-based support team at 949-492-7777.
