- Answer Only if you have a Mac and use airplay 2. There is no physical sound input to these speakers.

- Answer The Sonos One SL does not have Alexa pairing capabilities because there is no microphone on the speaker. The Sonos One has an onboard microphone and is Alexa enabled.

- Answer You can place these speakers anywhere to the left and right back of the room to provide the rear channel sound. Utilizing Trueplay will allow the Sonos system to tune the timing and sound profile to where they are placed relative to your sitting position.

QuestionI was thinking of getting 2 of these as surround sound speakers with a Beam. If I wanted, could I easily move one or both to a different part of the house to stream music to (via AirPlay2), when it's not connected to the Beam?

- Answer In short, yes. Long version. When you use them with the beam, they will be part of a grouping with the beam. You will need to break up the grouping, then create a new group/room for them when you move them. You will have to reassociate them with the beam when you put them back as surrounds. Not very convenient.

- Answer Double check which model you have. Sonos One and SL will support airplay2 but the play 1 will not. They look similar.

- Answer No, the Sonos ecosystem is proprietary. When pairing 2 Play:1’s to an existing system there must be a companion piece in the room such as a Beam or a PlayBar.

- Answer As far as I know, it won't work with a Play 1. It can only be paired with One or another One SL.

- Answer No. This speaker has no direct input from a tv. You will need a beam, play base, or arc for this.

- Answer Hi, and thank you for your question. The difference is the Shadow Black color. It's slightly different than our standard black color. The Shadow black has a very subtle grey hough to it.
