It may affect it a little because you calibrate the sound bar to the room you are going to put it in. I would think that if you calibrate it in a little confined space it may affect it. I would calibrate it from just outside the little niche, and then go ahead and slide it in there afterward.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would not spend the money on the SONOS playbar if you are going to put it in a cabinet like this. Sound relies on uninterrupted lines of sight for proper intelligibility and dispersion. You will lose a lot of that as it bounces around in the cabinet before it exits and will probably find yourself running the volume a lot higher then normal as well.
