You should have no issues with that setup PROVIDED the Samsung TV has the optical audio out jack. Most newer sets have that option. SONOS lists TVs by model that are incompatible with the PLAYBAR on their support site.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the Samsung model you have is less than 2 years old and has an optical audio output, you should have no problem getting an audio connection to the Sonos Play Bar. You will not get surround sound from any HDMI connections to the TV (Samsung design limitation). If you buy an external switch to switch the audio, you should be okay. Having to switch the inputs to the Play Bar does add an extra step, but I believe the sound to be worth it. I have a 2014 model Samsung SmarTV - I get Dolby 5.1 from over the air stations that broadcast it, and from streaming Netflix programming that supports it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know of problems with the Sono soundbar and Samsung but I have a Sonos for both my Samsung and LG tv's. No problems at all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I contacted Sonos support and they were very helpful in walking men through the configuration.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased the Playbar and also own a Samsung TV. Once I hooked it up I noticed that when I turn the volume Up or Down I get a notification on the TV that says "Not Available." I contacted Samsung and they said once you turn off the internal TV speaker and select an external audio source (Sonos Playbar) and try and turn the volume up or down you will get this notification on the TV. This is simply Samsung not playing nice. Sonos I believe does have a work around on their website but to me its not a big deal. No issues with sound quality or anything like that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have a new Samsung TV 4k 55 inches. The Sonos sound system functions perfectly. It was expensive and we took a deep breath. But we are very happy and the performance value is excellent. We enjoy having music during dinner which we control with our iPhones. The music comes from Panara and from iTunes . Control is simple.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need to buy the Playbar to get the optical input connected to the optical output from your TV. Once connected it works great and you can choose to use all of your speakers for the TV sound or music from Pandora ETC. Everything will work perfectly I use either my iPhone or IPad to configure how I want the sound sources to be distributed. The auto function works great so when you turn on your TV the sound from the TV routes to the correct speakers automatically but you can choose to leave it in manual switching mode also. SR
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a Sonos center channel and sub and have no issues. Not to say some older Samsungs won't but my new Samsung TV and Sonos have no problems getting along.
