I'm assuming any television newer than mine, which is two years old and DOES have the optical input, especially a 4K television, which is very new still, has an optical input, which is all you need for the soundbar to work with your television. that and for them to be on your wireless network. it will walk you through using your samsung remote to control the speakers' volume, too.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have a 4K Sony and I went onto the Sony site to ensure it was compatible. Also the sound guys at Best Buy were very knowledgeable about this system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As long as your tv has an optical audio input/ output, you should have no problems. The sound bar comes with the optical audio cable- plug that in and turn off your tv's speakers and set up everything on the app and your good to go. The additional subwoofer and satellite speakers link up/ communicate via wifi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should definitely work with your Samsung TV. I too have a Samsung (however not 4K), and the setup was seamless. I couldn't believe how easy it was to get the sound bar working with the TV. Instructions were very clear, and the sound bar comes with an optical audio cable which is really all you need to connect to the TV. With the TV, all you have to do is choose to turn off the internal speakers and you should be all set!
