QuestionThanks Kate but what I am asking is how do I connect the tv to an AV receiver and the sound bar? Sometimes the sound bar is enough but other times I want the full surround system connected to netflix or Amazon? If using AV receiver I want the bar off

- Answer Hi Edon, we recommend connecting both sound devices to your television. The best option will be connecting the receiver with the HDMI cable so you can get picture and sound, and the sound bar with optical cable. This way you will be able to turn on or off the sound device you prefer. -Kate

QuestionWhen in wireless surround mode how do you retrieve the full sound field menu? Cannot get an answer from Sony, Best Buy, no one. Seems like you have to disconnect the wireless speakers to retrieve it then reconnect them is this correct? Bad idea.

QuestionMy sub keeps randomly cutting out, making the entire setup sound like it switched back to the Bravia TV's sound. Any help? Ideas? I'm about to return it.... :-(

QuestionI have a 49 inch Sony TV, HT-NT5 sound bar and 2 STS-ZR5 surround speakers. Often, when the TV ( Spectrum cable service) goes to commercial the voice becomes garbled. I then have to change channels to get sound to work. Any ideas?

QuestionI'm debating mounting the htnt5 under my TV (which puts it at eye level) but the speakers look downfiring when it is vertical, what is the optimum orientation for the soundbar? (Current it is laying horizontal on a table knee level when I'm sitting down)

QuestionAny idea why ARC and Bravia sync don't work when HTNT5 is hooked up to a XBR75X850D? Only optical cable works. All instructions were followed for both TV and HTNT5. Do I have a defective unit? Why isn't HTNT5 in the list of supported devices for 850D?

- Answer I had the same problem when I bought it. Proceed as follows: connect the HTNT5 on TV and then restart the installation of the TV as if it were the first time. When I did that I was able to solve the problem. Hope that helps!

QuestionHow good is the sound without use of subwoofer? I mistakenly thought I wouldn't have to plug in subwoofer and placing subwoofer by sound bar is not an option.

- Answer Best is a relative term. It is a very good soundbar, and works well for 4k and HDR and provides nice sound. If you need/want more than (eventual) 5.1-esque sound, then you need a different model. But chances are, if you're looking at soundbars as opposed to discrete component audio, this soundbar will be more than good for what you're doing. I love mine.

- Answer I looked at the sound bar. There is a power switch and a volume switch on the front of the sound bar. You could also power it with a universal remote.
