A:AnswerIf you want the best surround sound you will need rear speakers. There is no other way. This Sony is a not a cheap system but more of a low middle. I wanted something that sounded better than just the TV speakers but was simple enough that my wife could use it as well. Hope this helps you.
A:AnswerDepends on how you are connecting it but if you use HDMI with ARC it should sync automatically. There is options in the on screen menu for syncing also.
A:AnswerIn short no, now there is a set of Sony wireless rear speakers that I was led to believe will pair with the sound bar for rear speaker surround support. Regular speakers have nowhere to be wired in to. This sound bar connects via HDMI ARC or optical if your tv doesn’t support ARC.
If your interested in using wired speakers you’ll need to look at Receivers.
