Q: QuestionCan I control this sound bar with DirectTV/Suddenlink/DishNetwork type satellite remote?

• A:Answer If you configure your TV settings correctly, the volume up and down should work fine. All other Sound Bar controls are done with remote but once they are set, they return each time the TV is turned on. If problems persist, contact the nice technicians at Sony Support online and they will help you.

Q: Questionhow do you turn up the wireless subwooferam unable to turn up the base or the subwoofer. Volume is too low compared to sound bar.

• A:Answer If you stand by the sound bar and have the remote, you can scroll through the menu by reading the digital display. If I remember right, it will say SW and then volume associated with it. But I haven't played with it enough to see if it sticks or if the volume has to be adjusted every time it is used.

• A:Answer You do not need a receiver and the sound is still pretty amazing for the price. The ARC interface makes installation super easy.

Q: QuestionHave this sound system and an Xbr49X830C Ultra 4K tv. both are sitting on a fireplace mantle. I have an issue where the sound bar is blocking the IR for the tv. I have no other area i can set up the tv and can't mount it in the apartment. Any suggestions?

• A:Answer As a suggestion, I purchased a clear stand (@1-2 in) that the TV sits on, and the IR window is no longer blocked by the sound bar. For larger TVs, one could get a couple of clear stands, and place under the TV mounting feet.
