“Which Sony 49 LED 4K is back lit? The 700 or 800 model? I am told the back lit has a better picture.”

• The 700 model that I purchased last month is direct lit. The 800 model is edge lit. Don't know if an edge lit or direct lit array makes for a better picture, though. The 800 has a triluminous display, which is better to my eye.

• Hi, the 700 model has direct backlight type. Direct backlighting is better compared to the edge lit TVs. Thanks, -Mark
