A:AnswerMake sure the HDMI cable from your receiver to the TV is going into the HDMI 4 port that is ARC capable. This is what allows the TV audio to be directed out through the external speakers. I'm guessing your cable box is plugged directly into the receiver, so that audio feed naturally goes straight out the external speakers. Hope this helps.

A:AnswerThe best recommendation I have is to turn the automatic back lighting off. I've found that in movies or shows that take place at night, that feature makes the picture sort of flash and it gets annoying. As for settings, I prefer the sports preset for pretty much everything I watch. I find the color is more vibrant.
