“Sony Listens Re: Using Sony STR-DG1200 Regarding your answer to my question connecting to a Sony STR-DG1200. Why would ARC be an issue? I'm only using the path through the receiver for video, the audio is being delivered by the A/V receiver (Output from DirecTv Rec goes to input of STR-DG1200) to my surround speakers? When I turn on the TV now it also turns on the receiver via the Bravia link, and a screen comes up that is "switching to external speakers". What other connection would be required? Thanks”
