Connect the TV monitor our HDMI connection on the back of your receiver to the HDMI input on the TV labeled "ARC". This connection will allow all video and audio to be seen on the TV no matter what input you use on your receiver. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Wally! This unit comes with the capability to use the feature called Audio return channel (ARC) when it is connected through an HDMI cord with a compatible Home Audio System, as well it has the capability of using either a digital optical cable or an analog mini stereo plug (headphone) audio out if supported instead. For options on how to connect it to your Audio System, please go to page 15 of the Reference Guide by using the following link: http://146.215.230.18/release/Ref_4562216131_EN_FR.pdf ~Jeannette

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure if this will help you or not. We had to connect our older home theater system using a digital optical cable. I had never seen one of these cables before. I purchased it from Best Buy. Once we hooked this cable up to the output on the TV and input on the home theater system, the sound came in loud and clear (after turning off the internal speakers on the TV). I'm not sure if your stereo system will have the same type of connections.
