“I have a pioneer receiver that is a few years old. My surround sound is hooked up to Bose system using plugin wiring. Will my new tv accommodate this type of wiring. If so will the sound be as good as it should w ? Thanks Foxie”

If your pioneer receiver supports HDMI or Optical inputs from the TV then your surround sound will work just fine. Your Bose system sounds like it is wired back to the receiver therefore you should be able to connect from the TV to the receiver your surround sounds should works.
