Hello montybritton, for now, we cannot guarantee that Dolby Vision will be included in the next software update available for this model. We're sorry for the inconvenience. Please check https://esupport.sony.com/ for upcoming updates. Regards, _Bob
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wasted 2 hours on the phone with Sony only to be told that they have NO idea when the Dolby Vision firmware update will be released that actually works through HDMI connections. I bought the A1E last October and love my purchase BUT Sony has made to many promises that have not been kept. I would suggest looking at other manufacturers of OLED TVs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it will get Dolby Vision support in the summer. It's currently getting certified in the labs so that's why you don't see it. Just a little patience my child.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Dolby Vision logo is on Sony's website under Overview for the model. So a firmware update is likely available. https://www.sony.com/electronics/televisions/a8f-series HDR10+, Give it a few months and check the link or google weekly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you use TV then A1E can activate Dolby Vision. I just changed from A1E to this A8F and have to wait Sony next update version because the factory version of this model is still not out of DV. But, it’s not really different between HDR10 and DV, cause you still having the most beautiful pic quality of this A8F.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
