I figured it out after digging into picture adjustment settings as suggested by Mark. It turns out for some reason when in dolby vision mode the default color temperature was set to "export 1" which is very close to "warm", after changing it to "neutral" (as set such in hdr10 mode), everything looks great again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Try the Cinema Pro setting AND change the HDMI signaling in the Display menu. You MUST have a high quality cable to do this. But if you do, it’s good. I finally went back to 60Hz HDR and Chroma at 4:2:2 on both the Sony and the Apple TV and I prefer it slightly over Dolby Vision.
