I couldn't get it to work with my comcast box either!!

If you're unable to control the set-top (cable/satellite) box using the supplied TV remote, please make sure to set up the Cable/Satellite box setup feature: On the remote control, press the HOME button. Select Settings. Select Watching TV → External Inputs → Cable/Satellite box setup → Cable/Satellite box control setup. Follow the on-screen instructions.
