Q: QuestionIs this a much older model? Somewhere I read a reference to 2017. Does price reflect that model is being discontinued? I'm a senior who just wants a reasonable Blu-ray player for DVD. Is it worth upgrading to next model? This would be …? Thanks.

• A:Answer Hi, Ming! The BDP-S6700 was initially released in 2016. And no, the unit is not yet discontinued since it is still available from the Sony website. And as a recommendation, if what you need is a player that can play your DVDs and Bluray discs, then this is the perfect model for you. Hope this helps! -Sam

Q: QuestionI have a new Samsung with only HDMI inputs. My old Denon Receiver does not have HDMI. Is it possible to connect the video to the TV with HDMI and the Audio via RCA to my receiver to play through my surround sound.?
