• I have used CC with mine. It works on disc media and also some app content.

• Hit options button on remote to see subtitles and choose language by toggling

• You need a TV that has closed captioning capability other than that I don't know.

• Hello Rick, thank you for your message. Closed caption feature would depend of the DVD movie capability. Nevertheless, the Blu-ray disc player has the option available. - Oscar.
