Q: QuestionThis camera is touted as a travel camera but strangely enough, it does not have GPS. Is there a way to embed GPS metadata in the EXIF data in the photo file? I've read conflicting opinions regarding this issue, like pairing up a smartphone with GPS etc.

Q: QuestionDoes this camera have capability to take selfie?

• A:Answer Technically all cameras can take selfies, so the answer is YES, but I would not buy this camera for vlogging/selfie purposes. The screen does NOT articulate around so you can see what the camera sees - it only tilts up and down. Also, the camera's ergonomics are not really designed for the user to hold it "backwards" (gripping and weight at arms length), so I would be a little anxious holding my expensive RX10 the wrong way (or with one hand) and trying to snap the shutter button. The camera DOES have a countdown timer though (single or multiple shots) so you can set it for 2 or 10 seconds and then turn it around and hope you get everyone in frame... the focus assist light will blink each second so you kindof know when its going to snap the shot.

Q: QuestionI photograph wildlife a lot and am frequently at 600mm. The subject often takes up around 10%-20% of the frame so making a print does not seem possible. Is there anything I can adjust so I can print out an image?

• A:Answer I just bought this camera, so I haven’t used it yet, but for years now, I’ve been using trekking poles as a make-shift bipod, or even a tree, to steady my camera while zooming in on subjects. And, of course, cropping to center the subject the way you want it.

Q: QuestionWhen I try to set 'Automatic White Balance" to something other than default, I am told that feature is not available with either Intelligent or Superior modes. If so, why is it even on the camera? ???

• A:Answer Select a different mode that will allow you to adjust white balance. Certain modes control certain factors. Though I agree that WB wouldn't be one that comes to mind that would be limited. This is an excellent camera - enjoy it! I would use a programme P mode or Custom and there select and customise settings to your needs e.g: Incandescent or Fluorescent lighting or a tungsten flash.

Q: QuestionHow does one recharge the rechargeable battery? No battery charger is mentioned in the advertising.

• A:Answer Battery charges inside the camera with a small USB wire. You can purchase separate charger if you like. There are cheaper batteries and chargers on the market. I recently bought Refuel battery and charger combo but have not had an opportunity to use it yet.

• A:Answer ANY camera can overexpose a picture. There are various adjustments and indicators in this camera (and most "real" cameras for that matter) to help get the correct exposure. The automatic settings in this camera do a very good job but some situations/scenes might need some changes. Standard procedure for any camera though.

• A:Answer Yes, that is what the hot shoe is for,....an external flash. However, you have to make sure the external flash pin configuration is compatible with the Sony’s pin configuration. I have heard that not all brands of external flashes work on Sony cameras. In fact, some older Sony external flashes don’t even work on current Sony cameras. Good Luck.

Q: QuestionI have sent my camera in for warranty repairs 4 times. Two electrical and two external screen. Anyone else have a problem with reliability? I bought the camera in January 2018.

• A:Answer In a family setting where it gets some abuse, we have used this camera for 5 years, no problems. 2 months ago it got dipped in pacific ocean salt water and stopped working. We are not even going to try to repair it, we plan to purchase our second one. I wish that this camera was updated to be charged with a "C" Charger.
