I have been using the VOR, though, and it seems like if there is no sound for a while, the unit shuts off. I found some information that if it is just left turned on and not used for 10 minutes or so, it will shut off, but haven't specifically been able to find out if it does this with VOR too. I will sometimes have the VOR activated, but there might not be any sound for half an hour or more...and then it seems to have shut off.”

When the IC recorder is in the stop mode and you leave the IC recorder without attempting an operation for approximately 10 minutes, the auto power off function will take effect. However when the recorder is in VOR mode it should not turn off even though there's no sound being heard.
