- Answer the ICDUX200 Includes a rechargeable battery, built-in stereo microphone, MP3 stereo recording, noise cut for clear speech recording, PC data storage, selectable microphone sensitivity, built-in speaker and compatible with Dragon NaturallySpeaking®.(Sold Separately). the included software does not have Text to speech capabilities.

- Answer This is more of a Dragon Naturaly Speaking (DNS) question, than a question with the ICDUX200 device. I can provide that for Dragon Naturaly Speaking to convert speech to text each person talking must teach their voice to the program before hand. for any further support with the software, consult the manufacturer of DNS. The ICDUX200 will record multiple voices consecutively or concurrently, however if two people are speaking at once it will confuse the program.

Questioncan u turn off the voice-activated recording feature?. . . and just let the unit record everything, inc pauses? b/c some of what i'll be recording may be used as evidence, i don't want a speaker's pauses to chop off the first word(s) out of his/her mouth after such pauses.

- Answer yes you can turn it off, you have the option in your menu settings to turn on or off the Voice-activated recording feature

QuestionWill this recorder pickup the information given by a tour guide while we are walking?I want to be able to record tour information, as well as listen to it, while the tour is given. Are headphones available so that I can monitor the quality of what is being recorded?

- Answer Yes, if you connect the supplied stereo headphones to the headphone jack before you start, you can monitor the recording.

Questiondoes this recorder include slow playback?I need this recorder to tape lectures and therefore need a slow playback feature, or perhaps an indication / cue on the screen (numbers of seconds, minutes?) that would allow me to return to a certain sentence that was said, rather than have to listen to the whole recording.

- Answer LP = Long play monaural recording mode (11.025 kHz/8 kbps) You can record for a longer time with monaural sound. Page 29 of the owners manual will list all the recording settings and their definitions. http://www.docs.sony.com/release/ICDUX200.pdf
