- Answer You can but I don't think you have to. I have external amp and speakers hooked up to my tv and the HDMI connection takes care of everything so I don't have to run separate RCA cables from the dvd player.

QuestionSeems there's a new problem every day! Today the DVD just froze right near the end. I couldn't even eject it or turn the machine off! I had to unplug it, then plug it in again; then it worked. I have reset it a couple times. Now what -- return it?

QuestionPower cord?Sony - DVD Player with HD Upconversion - Black Model: DVPSR510H SKU: 4790739 Specs indicate A/V cable included, but no mention of power cord. I know it seems obvious, but the Samsung model I compared it to specified power cord (although didn't specify A/V cord). Looks like an ongoing gap in your product descriptions. (And I just bought a TV from you.)

QuestionWill this display the picture in Full-screen format on standard 480 TV's?

- Answer It would depend on the type of TV and DVD disc that you will play on the DVPSR510H. If your TV has a 16:9 aspect ratio and the disc is recorded in 16:9 format it would display in full screen, but if the disc is recorded in 4:3 aspect ratio black bars will display on the left and right side of the TV. If you have a 4:3 aspect ratio TV and the disc is recorded in 16:9 aspect ratio black bars will display on the top and bottom part of the TV screen and will display in full screen if the disc is in 4:3 aspect ratio. QuestionMy Samsung tv has a 5 plug rca component cable on each end ( tv and old DVD player). Can I use those or just some of them in this DVD player? Thanks, I really know nothing about electronics!

- Answer If your TV cannot use the hdmi cable then using the supplied 3 wires insert the yellow in the green/yellow connector on the TV the red and white in the same color connector , power on the TV and player ,then scroll and activate the av /composite input on the TV imput menu , open the dvd player insert a disc , push play and start enjoying one of the thousands movies available on DVD the most used and available media worldwide

I believe that would have to happen on a Blu-Ray player. While this has up-conversion and a HDMI output, that is intended for DVDs and file formats above.
