• A:Answer Connection of th bar to TV is with an HDMI cable. There seems to be a way to add remote functions that are on the included remote to a SONY remote for the TV but I'm guessing a Firestick won't work that way with this.

• A:Answer the sound bar would operate independently of your receiver, as you would use regular speakers with that setup. as for TV, I have kept to Sony all these years, and you just need a HDMI connection for the TV and soundbar combo.
