QuestionWhy no A.F.D. Mode in this model?This mode in str dh550,I listen to FM with FR & FL speakers along with subwoofer. In str dh590, I can’t listen to FM from FL & FR speakers with subwoofer on. I have to switch from 5.1 to 2.1 everytime. Big headache!!!

- Answer Hi there, We recommend a speaker system that supports 6 to 16 ohms to be connected to this AV receiver. Unfortunately, any soundbar will not work with this unit. The STRDH590 doesn't have the capability to output sound to your soundbar. You may want to consider checking this model, STR-DH190 Bluetooth stereo receiver which has an audio analog output for an active speaker or soundbar connection. Thanks! -Jess

- Answer Hi Coop, Thank you for your interest in the STRDH590. Yes, you can connect your turntable, TV, and DVD player to this unit. This receiver is equipped with 4 HDMI inputs so it can handle all of your devices. Also, to connect a turntable that only has a PHONO output jack, you need to connect a phono equalizer (not supplied) between the turntable and this receiver. Hope this helps! -Sam

- Answer Hi Tommy, Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, you can connect your turntable/phonograph to one of the RCA audio inputs of the unit. QuestionI just bought this unit, and the HDMI function KEEPS cutting out (goes black) for a second then coming back. I have messed with every hdmi setting I can find. How do I get a CONSISTENT video and audio through this receiver?

- Answer Sorry, this turned out to be my HDMI source that happened to start intermittently going out when I switched to the new stereo. Took forever to figure it out, because it was intermittent, and it happen to start when I put in the new stereo. I’m all set now.

QuestionI had a Sony STR-DE445 Home Theater receiver that got taken out by a surge due to lightening. I have all the speakers and the sub woofer from that. This receiver has two outputs for the sub. My DE445 only had one output. Will this be an issue? Thanks

QuestionI have a Bose Acoustimass 700 system with cube speakers at front right, front left and center and two wedge back speakers and an unpowered subwoofer. Will this work with this receiver? The subwoofer is not powered.
