A:AnswerHi eric20920,
Thank you for the interest! We recommend connecting wired speakers with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms to 16 ohms. We also recommend using speaker wires that are anywhere between 12 to 16 gauge. These are most commonly used for connecting speakers to an amplifier or an Audio/Video (A/V) receiver.
Regards,
David
A:Answernot sure but I have a sony subwoofer which comes with a specific plug not a speaker wire that comes with a specific plug that attaches to the receiver

A:AnswerThere are RCA inputs, but none that are labeled for Phono. It is my understanding that the only way an old turntable would work is if it has a pre-amp. If the turntable has it's own speakers, it probably has a built-in preamp. Not all turntables will work with it unless you add some type of amp between them.
A:AnswerHi Customer,

A:AnswerHi JimD, Thank you for your interest in the STRDH590. Yes, you can hook up your turntable, CD player, and BD/DVD player to this receiver. This unit is equipped with 4 HDMI inputs and 4 RCA audio inputs so you can connect multiple devices. However, there is no option for additional 2 outdoor speakers since this is a 5.2 channel AV receiver only. If you're looking for an AV receiver with multi zone feature, I'd recommend checking out the STRDN1080 model. Hope this helps! -Sam
A:AnswerHi anmi, Thank you for your interest in the STRDH590. You can connect your projector to this receiver via HDMI ARC input even though your projector doesn't support HDMI ARC. Using an HDMI splitter is not recommended as we cannot guarantee its operation. I would suggest to directly connect your Roku device to one of the HDMI input of the receiver and connect regular speakers to the speaker ports of the receiver. You may refer to your HDMI splitter manufacturer for further assistance with compatibility with our unit. Hope this helps! -Sam
