“Can these cancel out any noise without playing music?”

• They produce a static(white noise) sound ( not loud) when not playing music with ANC on. It isn't as nice when the music is playing. I would suggest quiet music over just the noise cancelling.

• Yes, as long as they are "on" they will cancel noise. In order to keep them on, you will have to keep them connected through bluetooth, otherwise, to save battery they will power down after a while.

• Yes, however the NC on these are straight up trash. Look elsewhere.
