QuestionCan headphones be plugged in to sources as well..eg.on a plane, in the gymmetc? Thanks

- Answer The headset needs to be charged. The base is used to charge them with metal contacts at the top of the base (similar to a cordless phone's contacts). The base has two cords. One needs to be plugged into an electrical outlet with the other into a headphone jack or similar. I can plug the headphone jack into a TV or my iPhone and use the wireless headset. I don't think this would be a good option for a plane and I don't know about the gym.

- Answer I don't know about the iPad air but I just tried it on my iPhone and it works. The headset base is plugged into electricity and the headset is fully charged. I plugged the "headphone" jack (also on the base) into my phone. I then put on the wireless headset, turned it on, turned up the volume, and voila...sound. It seems to work well up to about 15-20 feet away from the base before getting a little bit static-y. Hope this info is useful.

- Answer As for compatible if you have a place to plug in headphones, it will have green around the pug in. Volume is on the headset and I have 3 pair and will buy nothing other than this set i have 2 others that are a very big waste of money.

QuestionCharge seems to last less than 24 hours and then takes 12 hours to recharge. The person that I used them is bed ridden and keeps them on 24 hours per day. Can you use regular batteries instead of rechargeable ones? Is there a separate charger to buy?

- Answer Yes, you can use regular battery's. If you do use regular batteries, [ DO NOT PUT THE HEAD SET BACK ON THE STAND ] You could buy rechargeable batteries and use a separate charger. Hope that this may help.

- Answer Only concern I would have is connection. Requires either headphone jack or rca (red and white) outputs. My father's tv had neither of these, so i spent an additional $50 for the necessary connectors. Headphone quality is very good. He uses them both with and without hearing aids. (no feedback issues).
