Q: QuestionIf it's an unlocked phone, then why can't it be used with Verizon?
Asked by lizbeth.
- A:Answer Generally speaking unlocked phones mean they're GSM unlocked and Universal unlocked phones are typically compatible with CDMA carriers like Sprint and Verizon. Verizon lately has allowed certain phones to be certified to work on their network as an LTE only device and the XA2 as of today is certified to work on Verizon. Keep in mind that you have no 3G fallback so if LTE coverage is lacking then this might not be the phone for you.

Asked by Doodle.
This question was asked about the related product: Sony - Xperia XA2 4G LTE with 32GB Memory Cell Phone (Unlocked) - Blue
- A:Answer If you're asking can the Xperia XA2 use a SIM card from Straight Talk for service, then the answer is "Yes." Since the phone is Unlocked, it can take any GSM SIM card. In fact, in my Xperia XA2 right now, there is a SIM card from Red Pocket, a MNVO like Straight Talk.
