• Are you by chance referring to the Bluetooth? Because as long as the green power light is presses and glowing "on", it should remain "powered" on... However, the Bluetooth does disconnect if you turn off device it was connected to...

• I keep sound bar always on. It does not switch off automatically. I only switch off the TV. Moreover, you can use remote control provide with to switch it on or off. I am not using it, I always keep it on always.
