• A:Answer The Pro has better video resolution and more advanced audio noise filters. It also has more advanced motion detection software. Both the Pro and the plus come with two battery slots and one battery. You do not need a second battery for the camera to work but it is a nice feature to have. The camera is programed to draw power from one battery and then switch to the second battery when the first one is drained. The app will alert you when one battery is drained. You can then remove the drained battery, recharge it, and put it back long before the second battery is drained. In this way, you can keep your camera online with no interruption power. A second battery is ususlly priced at about $35.

Q: QuestionIt would be nice if there were images showing how a solar panel plugs into the Spotlight Cam Pro. The image must show the actual connection. I have seen several that show a person holding the cable next to the camera but not where the actual plug is.

• A:Answer There is a small port in the back of the camera that the solar panel plugs into - very simple and easy. Ring does make a mount that the camera and the panel both attach to that makes it very easy to attach both to house, but Best Buy doesn't sell it. Need to order it from ring directly or from Amazon. They have a gutter mount version and a house mount version. I have both of them on different cameras and it makes the install look very professional.

Q: QuestionCan you hardwire a battery Spotlight Cam Pro Battery powered unit to make it electric powered? Someone told me you could open the Spotlight Cam & there are 2 connections points in the unit to connect wires.

• A:Answer Yes it can but you need the solar panel with the usbc connection. If you have an older solar panel with the barrel connection an adaptor can be bought to adapt it. All around a good product.
