Open the Ring app and tap the three lines in the top left corner, tap devices from the list. From devices tap your Spotlight Cam and then tap on Device Health. On the Device Health page you will see the Product name. Our Ring Spotlight Cam Pro comes with the 3D Motion Detection Feature to pinpoint motion and distance to know exactly when and where someone’s stepped onto your property. QuestionThe solar panel we bought with the Ring Camera has never charged the camera. There is no obstruction and it get well over 4 hours of sun. How do I confirm it is working? This was bought in December 2024 I have had to take the batteries out to charge

- Answer Not being wise, but make sure the connection is fully inserted. If you go into your settings in the upper right corner, you should be able to see your batteries while the solar panel is in direct sunlight. You should see a little charging emblem. If the batteries get below 50% they never recover from the solar charger. That’s just my Personal opinion.

- Answer Hi John. Thank you for your question. Ideally, your device should be within 20 feet from your router or nearest access point. A good way to test a location before getting the camera is to run a speed test while only connected to the network your camera will be connected to. As a general rule, most Ring devices function best when upload and download speeds are around 2 Mbps or greater. - Answer The unit does not come with a rain cover or shield. I have mine mounted under the eave of the house where it stays dry. Blowing rain might be an issue.

QuestionI purchased two wireless cameras with solar panels. One of the cameras won’t charge from either solar panel. I have to remove the batteries and charge with USB. Both panels will charge the second unit.
