QuestionI have a 10 year old desktop computer, looking to plug Elgato HD 60 S to it. But I get the error code that basically says I need to use a USB 3.0 port. Will this do the trick? Is it truly plug and play, or does it need to be installed into the tower?

- Answer This product is a hub or splitter. It takes one usb 3.0 and makes that one a multi. If your machine doesn't have a USB 3.0 port I don't believe this is what you are looking for. I would look at a USB 3.0 card to install in the computer. Hope this helps.

QuestionDoes this come with a usb cord, and if so, what is the length of the usb cord? I cannot find a usb hub that I can use for my desktop put of the box. The belkin 7 port was ideal, but It seems to have vanished.

- Answer Yes, there is a cord connecting the device to your computer's USB socket. I just did a rough measurement (still plugged in) and it's about 39 to 40 inches.

- Answer I am not sure about the head set. With the external hard drives and thumb drives yes. I have used Samsung external and WD with out any problems. When i tried to use the external hard drives without plugging it in. I couldn't run the hard drives as soon as i plugged in the power source everything worked smoothly and has been.

- Answer This is a single USB cable from switch to computer. Make sure you are plugging into a 3.0 USB port on the computer, other wise the switch will revert back to 2.0 USB standard. If plugging switch into 3.0 USB port on computer it will give you 7 more 3.0 USB ports.

- Answer None at all. I've been using this hub for months. Continuously connecting and disconnecting drives. I haven't had any problems with data loss or connection issues. This is a well made, solid hub. Worth buying.
