A:Answer I bought this headset and I asked the same question to the store's manager. They told me that the Geek Squad replacement for the PS4/PS5 model is the OLDER type of protection versus the one on the Xbox Wireless model. Supposedly, Best Buy internally is upgrading, and re-pricing Geek Squad protection plans. The PS4/PS5 model has the older, less effective protection plan ($69), while the newer plan ($129) offers the most protection against accidental issues. In the end, I ended up buying Total Tech Support ($199/year) as it makes all of my Geek Squad protection plans free. For just $70 more ($129 vs. $199), it's a way better offer in my opinion.
