This camera will connect to a compatible Swann recorder that will connect to a monitor/display using a VGA or HDMI cable. Q: QuestionIs this camera compatible with the DVR8-4980, If not can you tell me which one is? I have one camera down and need to replace it

• A:Answer Hi Kristin. Yes, your DVR model is capable of supporting cameras up to 5 Megapixel resolution but this 1080p camera will also work with it. If your existing cable still works you can just leave it in place and just replace the camera on the end, that should save you needing to put a new cable in. Hope that helps. -SD, Swann team.

Q: QuestionI brought the DVR8-5580G 8 camera system. I have set them up for motion detection at night. the 2 internal cameras start flashing at 6pm every night and go to the next morning. When I look at the footage the picture flashes on then off. see attached pic.
