In my case, I have continuous record at night (6:00pm - 6:00 am) and use motion detection during the day. I have the resolution set at 1080p ... The recorder keeps 2 weeks history with these settings.
I had originally set recording for 24 hr motion only ... with that setting I retained 4 weeks history.
