    • Answer Hi Slyfox. This is a fully wired DVR kit & you will need to run video/power cables between the back of the DVR box and each camera. If you wish to view the system remotely via the Swann Security app on your smartphone, then you'll need to give the DVR box internet access by connecting a network cable between the DVR & your router. If you don't need to view it remotely then you can operate it as a local closed system & view on a monitor without any internet connection required. If you are looking for wireless battery powered cameras, you may wish to have a look at Swann's AllSecure or MaxRanger models. - SD, Swann team

Swann sells BNC extension cables in 100ft(30m) & 200ft(60m) lengths under the codes SWPRO-60ULCBL and SWPRO-30ULCBL.   • Questioncan a person get wireless cameras with this setup?

    • Answer No, you can’t connect wireless cameras directly to a DVR system, as DVRs only support wired analog cameras. However, you can mix and match from Swann's entire product range and view them all on your phone under the same Swann Security app account. That means that when you open up the main live view screen in the Swann Security app, you can see DVR cameras, and wireless cameras, all streaming at the same time in the same screen. The only difference is where clips are stored - your DVR camera clips would be saved to the DVR's hard drive, whereas wireless cameras would be saved to their SD Card & cloud. Mary - Swann Team.
