Q: QuestionHow many feet in length are the Power over Ethernet (PoE) cables?

• A:Answer Hello Brian. Thank you for your question. Each camera in this kit includes a 60ft(18m) Power over Ethernet Cable. However, you can extend this to a longer length if you wish to. Swann sells extension cables in 100ft(30m) & 200ft(60m) lengths under the codes SWNHD-30MCAT5E and SWNHD-60MCAT5E. Please note, the maximum length of POE cable for ALL NVR cameras is up to 300ft/100m run of cable. • A:Answer Hi there. No, Swann does not provide routers. You should use the Wi-Fi router provided by your internet service provider (ISP). As long as your current Wi-Fi router is working properly and provides a stable connection, you should be good to go. You won’t need a separate router from Swann.

• A:Answer Hi Jim. Yes, it certainly can. You will need an internet connection if you wish to view remotely on your phone, but if this isn’t important to you then you can use it as a local closed system without the need for an internet connection. You would just view it on a monitor that you’d connect to the NVR box. A mouse and HDMI cable are included to help with local viewing. -SD, Swann Team

Q: QuestionCan you add a wireless camera to this system? How hi of a mega pixel camera can I add to this system? Are there Swann cameras that have a better night vision? Is there a certain specification for a compatible camera that can be added to this system?

You can only connect wired NVR cameras to this NVR, however we sell a wide variety of wireless cameras as well which operate on the same Swann Security app. This means you can mix and match different cameras and the NVR and see a live view from all products from the same app screen & under the same app account. The NVR-8580 in this kit is capable of supporting up to 12MP (6K) cameras, Swann sell bullet and dome options in this resolution under codes NHD-1200BE, NHD-1200DE. The night vision performance on all NVR cameras is excellent, but if you're looking for color night vision then you are best to look for cameras that include white spotlights, of which we have many. -SD, Swann Team
