The camera is designed for indoor use only. Room temperature is a term used to describe normal indoor temperature. Below freezing and winterized are both outdoor terms. Therefore, you shouldn't do it because you might damage your device. It was not designed for outdoors. Outdoor elements include, rain, extreme temperature cold or hot, extreme brightness from sun, excessive wear and tear from corrosion, Rodent damage, theft etc it is important to protect the device from these elements because it was not designed to protect itself against these elements. There should be no expectation of protection against these elements because it was not designed to be used or tested in these conditions.
